Eye Examinations
At Paul Rutter Opticians we are dedicated to providing the highest standards of eye care and we have invested in state of the art technology to ensure that you receive a full and thorough eye examination.
What To Expect
Eye assessments are an important part of ensuring you have clear and healthy vision. Not only are they key to helping keep your prescription and any necessary eyewear up to date, but an eye examination can also detect numerous potential concerns and conditions.
Our routine examinations for adults take 30-40 minutes, which allows us plenty of time with each individual patient. Throughout the test, you will be able to ask any questions and we will always ensure that we explain any results or changes to your prescription if required.
NHS Eye Tests
We provide both NHS and private eye tests for all ages, including children, and where necessary we will provide home visits to patients in the local area. Having gained further qualifications we are also able to provide a NHS-funded service Local Enhanced Services (LES).
OCT Scan
We are also able to offer an Optical Coherence Tomographer Scan (OCT), which uses infrared line scans to take 3D images of the retina. It shows precise detail of retinal tissue and other structures. Using this machine, we can more confidently diagnose and identify eye conditions and refer where necessary.
