Our Technology

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)

Creates a detailed 3D scan of the retina.
It allows us to see individual layers of the retina, which is only 250–300 micrometres thick.

Helps detect conditions such as:

  • Glaucoma

  • Macular degeneration

These can be identified before any symptoms appear.

OPTOS

Ultra-wide field retinal imaging allows diagnosis of conditions that may first appear in the periphery and could be missed by traditional techniques.

  • Captures over 200° field of view in a single image

  • Traditional fundus cameras only capture about 45°

Optos was invented by Douglas Anderson after his 5-year-old son had a retinal detachment that was not detected using older equipment.
